Why did the war start between Pangea and Vestigial?

We should come up with some ideas of why the war broke out between the two land masses.

I'll start coming up with some, you can comment and come up with better ideas:

-A piece of Vestigial came off of it, and floated to Pangea, blaming them for some odd reason.

-The leaders of Pangea and Vestigial just despise each other.

-The people living in Vestigial believe they are the dominant species and think they deserve all of Pangea.

-The leader of Vestigial figures out that they are much stronger than humans, started out slowly destroying humans, recently the war has gotten to a big fight

-Vestigial want to sink Pangea to expand Vestigial, They have already started by creating the elemental islands

-Vestigial started enslaving human. The humans didn't like this so they fought.

I like those ideas... how about that the leader of Vestigial wants Pangea to themselves?

I was thinking more like sinking Pangea so they can expand Vestigial to cover the whole planet, but wanting to own Pangea works to

I don't know... I like both ideas a lot... would they enslave the humans or just kill them?

kind both, on the elemental islands there enslaved till they die, but on Pangea where the war is taking place they kill them! xD
