Thunderstorm Hunt

Tobias perched himself on a tree branch above where he put Harvey and Marcus. He rubbed his temples slightly and closed his eyes. He was so angry at everything he didn't want to say anything and start another argument. "I couldn't fucking beat them. I'm so pathetic, I can't even protect myself." Tobias mumbled under his breath. He looked at Harvey and frowned slightly. He knew they could easily get down, but he wasn't moving until he knew the three were gone.

Keon stood up slowly and scratched the back of his head. "Well, I wish that sleeping was one of them..." Keon grumbled. He then looked over at Zephyr and gasped loudly. "What?! Why can't I get any of it?! I'm useless in battle anyway, unless there's someone around I can play with! Too bad there were only three useless pricks here today..."

Marcus frowned at Tobias, he wanted to feel bad for him because he knew Tobias thought what he was doing was right but he couldn't get over the fact of how stupid of a move that was.  He looked down from the tree and looked up at the storm, being up here was a bad idea.  "It was two on one Tobias don't take defeat so personally, we were gonna help soon."  He looks over at Harvey, "Is your ankle okay?"  You should probably start learning how to fight, maybe we can try getting you a weapon later.  You may not be the strongest but I bet you have a lot of stamina." he says to Harvey.  "We probably should get down before we are killed by lightning." he says to Tobias

GL followed Zephyr limping a little since he was hit by the club in the knees.  "Even if they do survive for awhile, we will just get them later..." he mumbles.  GL was happy they got the buck but there seemed to be so much pointless fighting even though he enjoyed fighting.  He looked at his vines which looked like they were devoured by dinosaurs, it bothered him and it hurt but they will heal in time.  It will just be a pain since those are his arms.  He looks at Keon, "You didn't even try, the youngest one on there team tried harder than you and he looked about 11 or 12." GL says to Keon.

Harvey agreed with Marcus about how it was an unfair match and he nodded a little bit to show it. Then he looked at Marcus and smiled sadly. "My ankle still hurts.. and I guess I should learn how to fight.. I don't want to be useless in battle!" he explained, sighing a little bit. He was the only one of the three that didn't even physically attack the other team and that bothered him a bit. "What weapon should I learn to use?" he asked his friends.

Zephyr got near a bush and walked behind it. He placed the buck down on the ground and kneeled down next to it. "Yeah, Keon, you could have tried at least!" he said as he began to rip a piece off of the buck. Then he pulled his bandana off of placed the bloody piece of the buck into his mouth. Gross.

Tobias put his head in his hands and sighed softly and shook his head slightly. "It was unfair, but I just feel useless. Now we barely have any food." Tobias groaned. He went and picked up Harvey and Marcus and began to fly down back to he ground. He sighed again and continued to fly out of the forest even if they were low to the ground. "Maybe you can try a knife or something, that could work." Tobias said quietly.

Keon groaned loudly and spit on the ground. "What am I supposed to do, punch them or something? I'm useless! I can't help unless I have my appeal! Which doesn't seem to work that well anyway..." Keon said as he let out a loud sigh.

Marcus smiled at Harvey, "Just rest it for a little bit and I bet it will feel better in no time.  Once you feel ready to start learning about fighting tell me." he says to Harvey.  Marcus looks at Tobias, "The food doesn't matter right now, they were obviously stronger and more experienced than us.  We should be happy to be alive." he says.  He then feels them going down and is relieved to be further away from the lightning.

GL continued to follow trying not to fall behind so he was happy when they stopped.  He sat down next to Zephyr and the buck.  He wanted to eat the buck but didn't know how to go at it without looking like a savage like Zephyr was doing.  He then looked at Keon, "Actually punching them would have been a great idea." he says to him.  "You also should learn how to take a hit if one stupid little punch gives you a tummy ache." he adds.  GL wasn't in a great mood anymore, he decided to just rested his head on his knees and stare at the buck.

"Okay!" Harvey said, smiling a little. His ankle felt a bit swollen at this point and he couldn't move it without it causing a lot of pain. He looked at Tobias and smiled a bit. "A knife would be good! It wouldn't be too heavy, so I could carry it!" he said, laughing a little bit. He realized that they were back on the ground and he sighed in relief. "Let's go home now! I'm ready to just lay down and relax!" he said.

Zephyr continued to eat the buck with blood running down his face. "Maybe you should learn how to fight! And you appeal to me, baby~" he said, laughing a little, blood splattering out of his mouth. He was really enjoying this buck, but he stopped eating so he wouldn't eat all of it now.

Tobias continued to fly them through the forest and let out a loud sigh. "I know, but...I couldn't even protect you guys. I feel sick to my stomach." Tobias said to Marcus as he flew up to their cabin and gently put Harvey and Marcus down on the ground. He let out a soft sigh and rubbed his eyes. "I need to go and relax too. I feel wiped out."

Keon frowned and looked away from GL and Zephyr and pouted slightly. "Well instead of you guys not giving me good moral support, why dont you help me train or something so I'm not as pathetic. Then that way my stomach won't hurt!"

Marcus was happy Harvey was into the whole learning how to fight thing.  "Do you want me to carry you?" he asks Harvey who he knew was in pain.  Marcus looked at Tobias and shrugged a little, "We are fine aren't we?  Also don't worry about protecting me, nobody is allowed to take any hits for me." Marcus says.  Marcus doesn't like people getting hurt because of him so he would rather just be the one getting hurt.

GL's eyes made there way over to Keon, "When have we ever gave each other meaningful support?  You are a grown man you can figure it out yourself.  I can't believe you decided to wait till now to decide you needed to learn how to fight." he says and then looks at Zephyr, "You really look like a mess when you eat anything." he states coldly.  Zephyr was such a savage, it was funny, he looked like a baby eating spaghetti.

Harvey frowned at Tobias and said "Don't worry about protecting us so much.. I wouldn't be able to protect you two if I tried my hardest!" He was hoping that would cheer him up in some way. He looked at Marcus and smiled. "Sure!" he replied. He used to love being carried to his room by his parents; that was one small thing he remembered from when he was younger. "We should all just relax together and talk!" he suggested.

Zephyr sighed and said "Can I just give moral support? GL can do the training part.." He blushed when GL called him a mess when eating. He quickly wiped his face, but blood still remained on his face. "Well, you look like a girl all the time!" he said, laughing a little to himself.

Tobias let out a soft sigh and walked into the cabin. He laid down on the nearest couch and pulled a pillow over his head. He was exhausted, and he didn't feel like moving since he was still sore from the vines. He looked at Marcus and shrugged slightly. He knew he still had to protect him from things. Then he looked at Harvey and blushed slightly. "We can talk, but I'm not moving. I'm way too sore from those losers."

Keon sighed sadly and laid down on his back. "Well still, you can at least me nice to me!" Keon said sadly. He liked positive talking, not so much bad talking. He looked over at zephyr and smiled slightly. "Yeah, you would be much better with moral support. And now hopefully GL won't come and kill me. That'll be cool."

Marcus picks up Harvey and carries him on his back, he liked to pretend Harvey was like a little brother since he pretty much is at this point.  He brought them into the cabin and stopped halfway in.  "Where do you want to go and do you want me to wrap up your ankle?" he asks.  He looks at Tobias who also seemed hurt, "Do you need anything wrapped up also?" he asks.  He knows Tobias will probably say no but it was polite to ask.

GL quickly turned his head and faced Zephyr and cringed, "Why do you always volunteer me for things?  What if I don't want to train him!" he yells at Zephyr and crosses his vines though a good chunk of them were missing.  GL looks at Keon, "I have no plans in teaching you or killing you.  My way of fighting is not something you are capable of so whats the point." he states to Keon.  GL then hears Zephyr say he looks like a girl then looks back at him.  His face gets a little red in anger and embarrassment.  "Stop looking at me then!" GL blurts out and then looks away from Zephyr.

Harvey felt Marcus start to carry him and he smiled happily. He loved when Marcus carried him; it made it feel like they were family. He held onto Marcus and looked around. "Hmmmm.." Harvey began. "You can sit me down next to the couch? And yes, please!" He wanted to sit next to the couch because he wanted to talk with Tobias, and Tobias was laying down so he didn't want to sit on it and take up too much room.

"Calm down!" Zephyr yelled at GL, then he began to laugh again. Then he looked at Keon and said "If GL doesn't want to help you, I can try to. I don't know how much I can help you though; your mouth this nothing like mine and this is all I really use to attack.. and my claws." He turned back at GL and noticed how embarrassed he got by his comment. He laughed and replied "But you're a pretty girl~"

Tobias rubbed his eyes softly and let out a soft sigh. He was wet and tired, and a nap was sounding good to him. He looked up at Marcus and shook his head slightly. "Nah, I think I'll be alright. I'll let you know if it starts to get worse." Tobias said. He sat up slightly so that Harvey could lay down on the couch instead of him. He stretched his wings out and yawned again.

Keon looked at Zephyr and shrugged slightly. "Well, at least you're actually will to try and help me out. I'm sure we can think of something for me to do besides being useless all the time." Keon explained. He laid down on the ground and put an arm on Zephyr's leg. He looked up at GL and frowned. "You could be nice about it at least! Sorry my way isn't as sophisticated and dumb as yours." Keon said as he spit his tongue out at GL.

Marcus put Harvey down next to the couch since that is where he asked to be put though he saw Tobias try to make room, it would still be easier to wrap up his ankle on the ground.  He was a bit relieved to put Harvey down, he was only two years older than Harvey so he wasn't much bigger than him so carrying his wasnt always that easy.  He went and got the bandages then proceeded to carefully take off Harvey's shoe and wrap up his ankle.  "Tell me if it hurts." he states.  He then looks at Tobias and nodded to him.  He wished that they were careful enough not to have got hurt, actually Tobias was the only one that got hurt.

"I'll calm down if you stop volunteering me for thing!" he says to Zephyr.  He looks at Keon, "No I can't be nice about teaching a grown man how to fight, you guys should be the ones teaching me!  Im younger than both of you and less experienced yet Keon is the helpless one, thats just disgusting.  Plus my way isn't dumb, it works unlike yours." he says and then frowns when he sees Keon put his arm on Zephyr, "Get your arm off Zephyr that makes me want to puke."  GL looks at Zephyr, he didn't want to be a 'Pretty girl'.  "Stop it!  You're always acting so flirtatious!" he yells at Zephyr and scotches a bit further away from him still a bit red in the face.

Harvey sat down on the floor and looked up at Tobias; he wanted to talk to him, but he didn't really know what to talk to him about. He fidgeted his fingers slightly, then said "Hey, Tobias, were you in any type of relationship before any of this crazy stuff happened? You're the oldest out of all of us, so you would probably be the one to be in a relationship.." He really wanted to know more about Tobias and Marcus's life before all of this. Harvey didn't have a lot to say about himself, so he was hoping that they had some cool things to share. He felt Marcus start to wrap his ankle up and it did hurt, but he didn't really want to say anything; he wanted to get it over with.

Zephyr sighed and said "But I don't feel like doing things and Keon doesn't know how to do things." Then he heard what GL said to Keon and he tried not to laugh; he thought it was funny how mad GL gets. Then he looked at Keon. "I don't think much, so I don't think I could be very helpful with that either." he said, then he felt Keon's arm on his leg and blushed a little. Then he looked at GL and smiled. "It's okay to be jealous, GL. And I only flirt with you because you get so mad about it! It's hilarious!" he laughed.

Tobias stretched out his wings and groaned slightly. He was a bit sore from fighting, but he didn't want to make it too obvious. Most of this was all his fault and he didn't feel like talking about it. He looked down at Harvey and blushed and looked away. Now that he thought about it, he was never in a relationship. "No, I cant say that I ever was in a relationship. I mean, I know of them and I know what to do in a relationship, but when I was younger I didn't find a person for me. I've had little crushes, but nothing like a full out dating experience." Tobias explained as he scratched his head slightly and sighed quietly.

Keon frowned and threw his tail onto the ground and frowned. "Alright, shut up! I get it, I get it. I'm not good at anything, you dont have to keep rubbing it in my face." Keon yelled. He wasn't in the mood to have GL mock him anymore. He sat forward and put his head in his hand. He glanced up at Zephyr and smiled a little. At least Zephyr wasn't being mean. "Well, ill just try and train myself then if no one else wants to help me."

Marcus finished wrapping Harvey's ankle and sat next to him.  He thought Harvey's question to Tobias was kinda funny so he smiled a little and looked at Tobias awaiting his response.   But Tobias's response was kind of sad.  Tobias always acted like the tough all knowing guy with lots of experience but maybe this new world was a new chance for him to become a tough cool guy.  "What did you do as a kid back then?" he asks as he takes his hair down hoping it would dry faster down but it was still soaked.

"Just because you don't feel like doing things doesn't mean like I feel like doing things." he says to Zephyr and looks over Keon.  "Im not mad at you because your useless, Im mad because you don't even try!" GL says, he hated that he didn't try throwing one hit back there for either of them.  He looks back at Zephyr "Im not jealous of anything!" he yells at him and listens to Zephyr tell him he only flirts with him because it makes him mad.  "...Thats great to know." he states coldly, he was obviously trying to hold back his anger, "So am I 'pretty girl' or an ugly joke." he asks and turns his head refusing to look at Zephyr.

Harvey listened to what Tobias said and he nodded a little. Harvey didn't know much about relationships because he was pretty young. He used to see kids that were in 'relationships' and they would just walk with each other, but it wasn't really anything. Then he heard Marcus ask him about his childhood and he smiled, then turned and looked at Tobias. "Yeah, I want to hear about what you did as a kid!" he said as he got comfortable. Then when he realized that Marcus was done wrapping his ankle, he looked at him and said "Thank you!"

"... Well, sorry." Zephyr said to GL; he didn't mean to make him this upset about it. Then he listened to what GL said to Keon, and he did agree with him. Then he looked at Keon. "We just don't know how to help you!" he said. Then he looked over at GL and said "Yes you are; you love me!" Then he heard what GL said about being an ugly joke and he frowned a bit, he didn't think he was actually offending him. "Well, even though you're not my type, you are a pretty girl.. that I joke around with." he explained.

Tobias laughed a little and put his hands behind his head. "Yeah, I dont think the people I was friends with were interested in me." Tobias looked at Harvey and Marcus and smiled a little. He didn't think that they cared too much about his past, even though it wasn't all too interesting. "Well, my parents taught me how to fight at an early age and they trained me to be who I am today. I didn't have too many friends, but I liked the few friends I had. We usually just hung out and built stuff and talked about people." Tobias said as he smiled a little. Those were simpler times.

Keon frowned more and bit his fingernails slightly and looked at GL. "Well if you're so mad at me about that, then I dont see why you wouldn't help me! If you're gonna be mad at me for it, why don't you try to fix the problem at hand? Especially since you know I'm no good! I'm of no help!" Keon yelled. He panted slightly and laid back down on the ground. He didn't like to yell. He glanced up at Zephyr and sighed. "Encouragement?"

"You're welcome." he says to Harvey and then looks at Tobias and listens to him talk about his past.  Nothing that crazy it sounded like.  "You must have done something interesting or crazy." he says to Tobias.  Marcus continued to play with his hair unsure of what to do with it.  He looks at Harvey and Tobias, "Is there anything else we have to do today because hunting kind of became a failure." he states.


GL smiled at Zephyr, "Thats what I thought." he stated proudly, happy that he got Zephyr to apologize.  He then looked over at Keon and rolls his eyes, "I said I was mad at you cause you don't try not because you suck at everything.  Is that going through your skull, you don't train people to try thats something the individual decides to do." he says to Keon.  GL looks back at Zephyr "I guess thats okay, but Im not a girl and I still hate your jokes." he says to him

Harvey listened to what Tobias said and nodded every once in a while. He heard Marcus ask Tobias about doing anything crazy, then he wanted to know the same thing. "Yeah, I bet you were a bad boy back then! Did you play pranks on people?" he said, smiling at him. Then he started to think about what they could do today. "Well, we could always just relax for today! I don't want to go outside and see those plant people again!" he explained.

Zephyr listened to the two argue to each other, and he would really hate to pick a side. Then again, Zephyr was about to be beaten up by some people and Keon was just going to stand there and complain. "I think you need to try harder, Keon. I'm siding with GL." he said, then he looked at GL. "Don't act like you don't appreciate me calling you a pretty girl! I know you do!" he laughed. Then he looked at Keon. "Just try next time we're in a fight. Don't sit there and watch you're only friends get mauled." he said; not really encouragement, but it was the truth.

Tobias laughed a little and sat up some more. He tapped his finger on his chin and thought for a few moments. "Well, I guess I did like to play some pranks on people. Sometimes me and my friends would sit in the woods and scare people at night. Since I have a scary silhouette it seemed to work pretty well!" Tobias said. He smiled happily and played with his fingernails a bit. "Relaxing sounds a lot more fun to me. I don't mind at all." Tobias said. He laid back down on the couch and stretched out a bit. He loved to relax.

Keon quickly stood up and stood up in front of GL. "Well then I'll definitely try to work my hardest! But you guys aren't even helping! Instead of getting pissed at me, maybe encourage me to do my best! Sure, you guys can be mad at me! But at least try to be happy with me sometimes! I feel like no one ever gives me praise!" Keon yelled. He teared up slightly and crossed his arms and looked away from both of them and let his tail drop to the ground. He knew that his friends had a right to be mad at him, but he wished they would tell him "don't worry Keon, we'll help you out so you'll be ready next time!". Keon started to walk away and stared down at the ground as he did so.

Marcus started squeezing some water out his hair making a small puddle next to him.  "That story might not exciting but its silly and fun." he says sweetly.  He looks over at Harvey, "I guess we can relax." he says.  Marcus didn't like to relax when he knew that there was stuff that could be done but he wasn't gonna argue, the were obviously tired.  Marcus kept squeezing his hair into the small puddle.

GL stands up when he see's Keon stand up in front of him "You are acting like a teenage girl Keon, why should we have to encourage you to help us while we are fighting.  It should be natural for you to want to try to help us when we obviously need it.  Maybe we will give you praise when you man up and stick up for us in battle.  It's not like me and Zephyr praise each other and no one praises you." he says and looks at Zephyr surprised he took his side. "Don't act like you don't appreciate me calling you a pretty girl." he says mimicking Zephyr and laughing a little.

Harvey listened to Tobias's story and smiled at him. He started to think about how different everyone's lives were before this whole thing happened; different friends, different relationships, different everything. "What were your friends like? Like, from your story!" he asked, hoping that he wasn't getting too personal. Then he looked at Marcus. "Do you have any stories to tell? I guess this is a good time to just talk about our pasts, right?" he said. He was hoping to get really close to Tobias and Marcus, well, even closer than he already is.

Zephyr watched Keon storm off and he sighed a bit. He doesn't know why Keon expects this kind of treatment, because none of them are that nice to each other. Zephyr doesn't go out of his way to make anyone really feel better about themselves. "He'll come back." he said. "He won't be able to survive on his own, he'll be running back soon." Zephyr turned and smiled at GL. "Don't act like you don't love me, GL!" he said while leaning close to GL. "You know, we're alone now..~" Zephyr loves bothering GL.

Tobias laughed slightly and propped his wings on the back of the couch. "Yeah, we had some good times all together." Tobias said. He looked down at Harvey and smiled a little. "Well, my one friend was super chill. He was always laid back and kinda just went with the flow. Two of my other friends were twins and were a bit high maintenance, but they ended up taking care of each other. Everyone else was either nice or complete jerks." Tobias explained. He missed his old friends sometimes, but he liked to be around Harvey and Marcus more. He felt more relaxing with them. He looked over at Marcus and laughed. "Yeah, what kind of bad ass things did you used to do?" Tobias asked.

Keon frowned at GL and snorted loudly. "Well maybe this is a learning experience for you! Maybe you can learn to be a bit nicer to me sometimes so I won't be miserable all the time!" Keon yelled. He began to walk away and into the forest. He let his tail dangle down on the ground and he teared up slightly. He was afraid that he would get lost or too separated from GL and Zephyr, but he wanted to try to prove a point. He crossed his arms and sunk down on a tree trunk. He made sure he wasn't too far away from the two just in case he got too scared. Which would probably end up happening anyway.
